Identity Card Personnel Validation
The U.S. military typically utilizes CAC card for personnel authentication for access to the base, for access of weapons or for access of any goods or services on a military base. Other organizations may utilize ID cards that identify the person and that include a personnel identification # that can be entered to the ARMS software by keyboard, or, that can be scanned if the personnel identification # is represented as a bar code and/or an RFID identifier. ARMS supports data entry from data on an ID card and/or scanning an ID card’s bar code or RFID chip.
ID cards with ID # printed on the card and/or represented by bar code and/or RFID # can be provided as a component of the ARMS Armory Management System. ARMS ID cards being presented at the time of weapon issues and/or returns can be required for any weapon(s) transfer transactions.
